I do not believe in vaccines for personal and religious reasons, but your program requires a full immunization record. Can you make an exception?
While we respect everyone’s choices and beliefs, by New York State regulation, as of June 13, 2019, there is no longer a religious (or personal beliefs) exemption for immunization.
I have scheduled my child’s physical and immunization appointment at the pediatrician. Can my child start daycare in the meantime, and then I later submit the physical/immunization record?
Your child’s complete physical and up-to-date immunization records certified by a physician are required prior to your child’s first day in our program. This information is crucial in helping us to know your child’s medial history so that we may best attend to their needs while in our program. In addition, immunizations protect children and others around them, especially in a group setting. Therefore, we are counting on your cooperation, in helping us maintain a safe and healthy environment for our community.
I only need 1 or 2 days of childcare – Can you accommodate?
While we strive to be the most accommodating program with flexible options, we believe in allocating childcare slots to families who need it to most. As such, we require a minimum of a 3-day enrollment for our part-time schedule.
For your 24-hour program, can I drop-off my child once in a while when I need a late night out, or a break on a weekend?
Our nontraditional hours program is designed for families who need it on a regular basis due to work/school schedule. A child must be enrolled full-time or part-time on a set schedule. This allows us to remain in compliance with ratio, and to accommodate families that need it the most. Therefore, we not accommodate drop-in services.
Can you share a Sample Menu?
Prospective families are welcome to schedule a tour of our program, and during the tour we will gladly share sample weekly menus of our nutritious meals and snacks.
I’m expecting, but when my child is born, I would like to enroll them in your program. How do I go about it?
Thank you for considering Kaamba Daycare & Preschool. Expectant parents are welcome to tour our program. While enrollment is completed on a first come first enrolled basis, expectant families who wish to confirm their child’s seat in our program may do so by completing our waitlist form and submitting a non refundable deposit.
In what language do you reach the children?
The primary teaching language is English. We also introduce French to the children as part of our curriculum, when age and develop mentally appropriate.
Do you provide pickup and drop-off services?
Pickup and drop-off services can be arranged for an additional fee depending on the distance, frequency, and subject to space availability. Please note that vouchers do not cover pickup and drop-off services.
